We all went to Dad's on Sunday to hang out for the day since Paige and them were here, again the kids had a blast playing and swinging on the swing at Grandpa Eddie's. Dad let them open one present early for Christmas since they were all going to be so loaded on Christmas day.
Christmas Eve we went to John and Alice's for the Christmas Prime Rib dinner, and it was AMAZING as usual and then we went to Church for the 9:00 Christmas Eve service. All the kids stayed in there with us so it was pretty neat to have them all there. Grandpa Eddie had given Aly ad $1.00 bill to put in her purse and she put it in the offering plate at Church to give back to God. And she did it all on her own, It was a proud parent moment!
We changed tradition this year and decided to have a Jackson Family Brunch instead of Christmas Eve so everyone could be together after having Christmas morning with each family.
Ours was pretty crazy as you can imagine with Aly and all her gifts from Santa and us. She got games, PJ's, candy, a Doc Mcstuffins Dr. bag, a cash register and several other things. I think the Doc McStuffins Dr. bag was the favorite. She went around giving everyone check ups for days and honestly she still does!!! She did still want to see what was in her stocking but after the toe incident she let us get it down for her :).
We went to Dad's around 9am and had breakfast and opened gifts, it was fun, messy and all about the kids, the way its suppose to be. She got another LaLaLoopsy doll, some Hello Kitty bed sheets, a Jewelry making kit, some new clothes, dress up and everyday and several other great things.
After Dad's The Deegan's had to head back to SC. It was again sad and maybe one day I will be able to say bye without busting into tears but not any time soon. Its hard to only see the them a few times a year. Then we headed to the Manderscheid's house for our Christmas afternoon appetizers and gifts!!! Aly got so many great things again: Games, new bath towels, her first Cabbage patch doll, her first barbie, some music CD's, books, movies the list goes on!!! It was a great time with the adults too, we drew names this year and we around opening gifts which is always fun!
JV and I decided that as our big gift this year we would take Aly to Build A Bear and let her make her own stuffed animal. She had a blast. She picked a white bear and named her snow ball. We got her boots, a skirt, a jacket and a purse. She carries snow ball every where and sleeps with her every night.
As usual it was a great Holiday and went by too quick! It was really great though to spend so much time with the family. Aly really understood what Christmas was and it was really cool to share that with her!!!
We hope you guys all have a fabulous 2013!!!!
