Alyssa is 7 weeks old!!!

Wow it is so crazy to sit hear and say Alyssa is 7 weeks old! Time fly's!!! Just a quick update. She is doing great! She sleeps so good. Since she was about 3 weeks she has been sleeping from 11:00pm till 4:00am, then we feed her and put her back to bed. That has made our lives so much easier. Last night we put her to bed at 9:00pm and she slept till 5:00am. then I fed her and she went right back to sleep. She has been sleeping in her crib in her room all night for about a week now. Its hard on me, I still get up and check on her several times, but I know when I go back to work that it will be for the better.

I'm going back to work on the Tuesday after Labor day. I know dad is excited and ready for me to be back, but its going to be so hard to leave her. I have those days where she is a challenge but I wouldn't give up this time that I have had with her for anything in the world!!!

She has started laughing and smiling a lot lately!! I have seen such a change in her in the past 3 weeks with her personality.

She goes to the dr. on sept. 4th for her 2 month check up and her first round of shots. I'm going crazy trying to figure out what to do with her shots. There are some people that think those shots lead to autism and that scares me to death, but I know she needs them. I'm guessing this is just one of the million's of hard decisions we are going to have to make as parents.

I did get my perspective last week about what it would be like to be a single parent, and I consider my self so so lucky to have JV, to have a great loving husband who wants nothing more then to come home and be with his family. It makes me sad to think about all the little kids who don't have that. But JV's grandmother passed away 2 weeks ago and he went to LA to be with his family. He left on Tuesday and came home on Friday. Being that Alyssa is a great baby it wasn't that bad, but I give single parents a lot of credit. I was lucky enough to have a lot of help while he was gone from some great friends and that makes all the difference.

She did have a rough night on this past Tuesday, she woke up at 4:00am and was having problem pooping. I heard a cry from her that I have never heard. The "it hurts" cry. it was so sad!! It was terrible hearing that and knowing that there was nothing I could do!!! She made it past it though and finally she went to sleep and I got some sleep too!

We had her cloths shower a few weeks ago, and it was so great!! she got so many super cute cloths. I never thought I would find pink so cute!!!

Well again I could go on forever about all the funny things that we have seen and gone through but I won't!! She is sleeping here on the couch next to me and still she makes me cry just looking at her, she is so perfect!!!
