Our sick little peanut

Playing in the backyard 9/26/2011

Aly and her cousins watching TV

Silly girl playing with my phone

Brushing her "dora teeth"

She is obsessed with stickers, can you tell?

Last Friday night I went over to a friends house after work and JV had Aly at home. He texted me and told me she had a low fever. I figured her 2 year molars were coming in so that was probably it, no big deal. Well all day Saturday her fever kept getting worse and by sat. night it reached 104.3 (I had to take that one in her bootie). I was freaking out a little because I was at home alone with Aly. We (they) had Laura's 40th birthday celebration that night at Melissa's but me and Aly had to stay home. I called over there to see what I should do because her fevers had never gotten that high before and I was pretty freaked out. I gave her another dose of Tylenol and about 30 mins later it had come down a degree so it was working. She was so pitiful though. Her face was so red and she was so mad and didn't want her medicine. I felt so bad.

We decided to let her sleep in our bed for the night so we could keep an eye on her and it went pretty well. We gave her some medicine around 5:00am and then she slept till 9:30!!! I couldn't believe it, she has never slept that late. So it was nice for all of us to get to sleep in together. Most of Sunday she was the same, Lazy and hot. I kept her pretty drugged up between Tylenol and Motrin and that seemed to do the trick. She slept through the night Sunday night in her bed and didn't have a fever all night.

Dad is in Kansas this week so JV took her to the dr. yesterday morning and they said it was just a virus with a bad ear infection on top of that, not really sure what was causing what. So she is on an antibiotic now and seems to be back to her self again. She spent yesterday with her Mimi and Papa, so i'm sure that helped too!!!

I have been working hard on getting her scrapbook caught up. I'm working on Christmas from last year so getting close. Her scrapbooks are really something I'm so proud of. I think she will love going through them when she is older. Being able to look back on her stuff, but our whole family's as well!!

We have a pretty busy October coming up. We are going Camping with the Siblings and kids (minus Aly) on the 8th and then JV and I are going to Savannah on the 20th for Travis' Wedding (my cousin) so we are really excited about that!

Vocabulary

I wanted to make a post to note all the crazy things that Aly says so we can remember it all:

a few months ago, when you asked Aly to say monkey it came out Bunky, so cute. I'm sad to report that its is no longer a bunky, its a monkey!

Buga Buga-Aly's new word for bugs. She got it from Dora and everything that she finds on the floor that is unidentified is a buga buga.

"mommy, come quick!"- basically means I can't do something, come help me.

"i go in Daddy's truck?"

"daddy go to work, Mommy go to work, I go to Noonies"

There are dinosaurs in the bushes (sept. 2011)

"momma, which (weish) way? That way? no that way."

"Aly are you a princess?" "no i'm Aly"

"I'm princess Aly, and princess Mommy and princess daddy and princess Marley!"

"mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, Amy!" (yeah she learned my name, I guess if mommy doesn't work, then try something else!)

"Aly what happened to your arm? "mommy scratched me!"

"mommy, i go too?" she says it like we leave her in all kind of places.

She is so observant. She knows what my coffee cup looks like and says "mommy's coffee"

her new thing is "gosh!" about everything. I guess it could be worse right?

"no mommy, I do it!"

"Aly what did you eat for Lunch?" "umm, hotdog and macanogie" (Macanogie is macaroni and cheese). Obviously she doesn't eat that every day but she tells me she does!

" I brush my Dora teeth?" she has a Dora tooth brush.

Family Members:

MiMi (Alice)
Papa (john)
Papa (Eddie)
Uncle Paige (sorry Paige)
Ebit (uncle Brett)
Sissa (Melissa)
Lola (Laura)
Manny (Maddy)
Uncle sasson(Jason)
Noonie (shannon)
Shayrol (Aunt Cheryl)

I think she has everyone else figured out.

She has certain ways of identifying people. Papa Eddie is his Truck "papa's truck" Auntie Lola's cuppy ( Laura bought a blue Tupperware cup at my party and I have one too, every time I use it she says "Lola's cuppy"

I think that is all for now!!!

Elmo Live

Aly and I got to experience our first show together with Aundera and Mason this past weekend. We went to see Elmo Superhero's at phillips arena on Sat. evening. When we got to Aundrea's house she had bought 2 small Elmo dolls for the kids and they loved them. Aly and Mason warmed up to each other pretty quickly and by the time we got to Phillips they were holding hands and by the end of the show they were Kissing!!! LOL yes kissing!!!

We had really good seats (well until I spilled my entire large coke all over the floor). The kids were able to go out into the aisle and dance, sing and clap. The show was pretty good and long too, it was 2 45 min halfs with a 15 min. intermission (which was spent with Mason and Aly playing on our phones) They really did have a lot of fun and it was a fun experience for the adults too!!!!
