Update on the ears!

I had my college girls over to the house on Sunday for dinner. Angel brought Wyatt and Kristen brought Caleigh, and Anna brought her beautiful self and some great Mexican rice! The kids were having a good time playing until Aly got to close to Wyatt's milk. He was not happy!

This is Aly and Caleigh. Caleigh is 6 months old! and makes Aly look huge!!!

The gum ball machine was the toy of the night!!!! It even lead to a little hair pulling! Just kidding they were just having fun!!

Update: Well after a horribly long night last night I decided to take Aly to the dr. this morning in stead of waiting till Thursday (she was suppose to go for a 10 day follow up on Thursday). She was asleep for about 2 hours last night before she started screaming. We tried to let her just cry and when that didn't work, JV tried rocking with her and when that didn't work, I went and laid on the couch with her. She slept for about an hour and as usual, I just laid there. I went to put her down in her crib and she woke up screaming. So I put her in the bed with JV and I about 2:30am and she finally went to sleep! She tossed and turned a lot which meant not much sleep for any of us, but at least she wasn't screaming. She did have a 100.3 fever this morning so I gave her some motrin and at the dr. it was down to 98.0!

I saw a new dr. today and she told me that her ears actually looked pretty good. They were healing. I talked to her about tubes to see what she thought and she informed me that she just had them put in her sons ears a month ago and there charts looked a lot a like. She said we could just wait and see what happens or go ahead and go to the ENT. I asked her about the procedure since she just did it and she told me that they do put them under anesthesia which freaks me out, so I don't want to do it if we don't have to, but if the ENT feels like it will help then we will!

She does have a little cold right now which could lead to another ear infection but hopefully since she still has 3 days left of the antibiotic it will keep that from happening.

I found a ENT that Kaiser works with in snellville, in the same building as Snell. peds. and I have an appt. for her on March 31st. She said that because its spring time that they may opt not to do the tubes and see what the better weather brings, but they may see something that they believe warrants the tubes so we will see!!

So me and Aly went to walgreens on the way home yesterday to get her new medicine. We had to wait about 30 mins for it so I was playing with her in the car. I rolled down the window because it was so nice outside, little did I know that would make this little girl so happy. She was standing on my lap, yelling and everyone in the parking lot. I was laughing so hard I was crying and so was everyone else!!!

Me and Aly went to a Gymboree class together with Mason and Aundrea on Sat. They have a free intro class to see if you like it. It was an hour and it was a lot of fun (for me). Aly would of been just fine in a empty room but with all those people. She really didn't care for the songs or balls just watched everyone in the room. I think we might try again when she is a little older, but I had fun.

Jv had to take Aly back to the dr. this morning. I just didn't feel like the amoxicillin was doing anything and she has been tugging on her right ear the past few days. They said there is a lot of fluid in both of them (so while on the antibiotic one ear has gotten worse and the other hasn't gotten any better). They changed her prescription to something else and they want to see her again in 10 days. If the fluid is not completely gone by then they are referring us to a ENT. I really don't want to do tubes if we don't have too but I'm thinking thats where we are heading.

Aly is crawling like crazy. She does crawl a little different. She pushes off with her right leg and crawls with her left, but hey she gets where every she wants to go. She is pulling up on everything and still wants to walk so bad. Every once in a while she will let go of us or what ever she is standing on and still will balance for just a sec. It won't be long.

Aly still doesn't have any teeth yet. She has had one on the top right that has been coming through for about 2 months now, but we are still waiting on something!!! We are starting to venture out on what she is eating. We tried some yogurt the other day and she didn't really seem to like it, but we are going to keep trying. I gave her a piece of deli ham the other day and it didn't sit well (the dr. said probably b/c of the preservatives in it) so we won't do that again. But I'm going to start trying to give her more people food and less baby food.

She has started sleeping a lot better the past few days. She has made it too about 5:00am before waking up so thats major progress from about 10 times per night. Hopefully we can get this ear thing handled and she can get back to sleeping all night.

Aly really loves her bath time. When I lay her down to wash her hair, she just kicks around and she thinks its so funny when she gets me wet. She is just going to LOVE the pool this summer, I can't wait.

Aly's new cousin Asher and Aunt Paige are doing well, Aly hasn't met Asher yet but hopefully soon. I didn't want them close to each other while she was sick.

Ear infection number 6!

This nasty cold has been around our house for a few weeks. I had it 2 weeks ago and now Aly has it and I do again!!! She didn't want to sleep in her bed again last night, so her and daddy slept on the couch.

She has been pulling on her left ear for a few days so I took her to the dr. this morning and she has another ear infection in her left ear and her right is inflamed, so we are starting on amoxicillin again. Hopefully it will work!!!
