Baptism pictures and short update

Aly and Daddy before the baptisms

The family

Aly in the 90 year old dress. So so special!

Here are a few pictures from the baptism on the 10th.

Aly is growing so fast, just in the past week she has had her first tooth pop through. Its the top right one. She has been a little fussy lately so I'm thinking that its hurting her pretty bad. She loves to stand up now (with help) but it won't be long before she is standing on her own. She almost pulled her self up in her crib last night, so looks like we will be moving the mattress down here pretty soon.

We have also changed our bedtime routine a little. Normally after her bath and bottle one of us will rock with her in the chair until she is good and asleep and then we will put her to bed. But we think its important that she learns to put her self to sleep so for the past 3 nights we have put her to bed while she has been awake and she has fallen asleep all by her self. The first night it took her about 20 minutes, the second night it took about 10 and last night, after we laid her down and she didn't make a sound. Hopefully it will keep up.

Aly had her first spend the night out with Grammy and Grandpa this past Saturday night ( Jan. 23) while JV and I had our date night. It was so hard leaving her, and I cried when we left but after that I was ok. I woke up one time and was listening to the monitor to hear her, then realized that it wasn't on b/c she wasn't there. I was so happy to see her on Sunday, we missed her so much!!! But we made it through!!! Grammy and Grandpa had fun. They gave her a bath in the sink and she slept all night for them.

Well I'll update again soon as things are changing so fast for her!!!

We love you and thank you all for your help, love and support!!!

Aly's 6 month check up

Aly in her big girl car seat. Jan 20, 2010

Tearing up the paper at the dr. office 6 month check up

Trying to eat the paper!

This is what we call her Lazy boy!

We went to the dr. today for Aly's 6 month check up. She weighs 18lbs 4oz (80th percentile), is 26" long (45%) and her head was 16 3/4 (41%). She looks very healthy and thank the lord no ear problems!!!

She told me we could start giving her some table foods along with her baby food, just mashed up veggies, crackers and soft things. Since she is not a big fan of veggies, this might work better trying to get some veggies in her. She also said we could start trying her with a sippy cup which is very exciting to me b/c i'm pretty much over washing bottles. It will be a while before she gets the hang of it enough to use for formula but its a step. It kinda crazy it seems like she has just grown right up in the past 2 months. She's holding her own bottle, eating table food, sippy cups, its kind of sad to me, because she is growing so so fast!

Things are going great with Shannon keeping her 3 days. I feel so comfortable with her and aly is always happy to see her in the morning and is always smiling when I pick her up. That makes such a huge difference!!!!

We are loving her at this age though, she has so much personality and everyone comments on how happy and beautiful she is. We are truly blessed!

Before Church. Jan 2010

Well as you can see, our little peanut is doing just great! She is so so happy. We are going to the dr. on Wednesday for her 6 month well check (we are a little late b/c I had to cancel her appt with all the ice on the road last friday). But i'm guessing that everything is going to be great! She is growing so fast. As you can see she holds her own bottle now. She is sitting up so good now. She still falls over every once in a while but she is doing so so good!

Eating solids (baby food) is going really well. She struggles with her veggies but we have found that if you mix it with applesauce she will eat about anything. She is in the stage 2 food now and there are a lot more options so its been fun trying new things. She has mac n cheese last night and loved it!!!

Well Aly and I got baptized on Jan. 10 2010 at our church Perimeter by Randy Pope, our pastor. Everyone was there (Aunt Cheryl, GG, Dad, Paige and Brandt, John and Alice, Laura and Jason, Melissa and Brett, and all the kids) and it was such a wonderful day!! We went back to John and Alice's for lunch with everyone and got a chance to talk. I couldn't of asked for a more special day!! It was something that I have been wanting to do for a while and it was so great that I could share that with Aly.

Aly is having her first night away from Mommy and Daddy on this upcoming sat. night. JV and I are finally going to have a date night and she is going to stay with Grammy and Grandpa. I'm pretty nervous about it, I know that she will be spoiled and so well taken care of but its going to be hard not having her at the house when we wake up (when ever that is). We are going to Atlantic station to see the bodies exhibit and going to Rosa Mexicana for dinner.

Well that about all for now, I will update after her Dr. appt. on Wednesday.!!!
