34 Week Update

Hello all, well I just got back from the dr. and everything still looks good. I'm still measuring about 2 weeks early, but that doesn't necessarly mean anything just yet. Blood pressure and everything are still very good. I gained 3 pounds in 2 weeks and she said she would of liked to see 2 but for me, if you want to see 2 and I only gained 3 I'm saying yeah me!!!

The head is still down which is great (for labor purposes, makes me a little uncomfortable) and hopefully will stay there. Otherwise it was a quick visit. It took them 45 mins to call me back so I wasn't really in the mood to hang around and ask questions. The babies heart beat was in the 130's this time.

As for me, I'm in the being uncomfortable stage. Sleeping is getting harder. I'm not sure why though, but I wake up about every 30 min. I don't think its the baby waking me up but something is. So that makes it hard. The baby has been more active at night then before. And I don't get the small, cute little kicks any more, I get the full out, take your breath away roll overs. Its so funny to watch my stomach move. He/she is still hormonal and doesn't really like to have other people feel him/her move.
I have been going to sleep on the couch b/c I seem to sleep a little longer that way. Having the back of the couch to support me makes it easier. And last night I tried to go to the bed around 4:00am but my acid reflux kicked in right when I laid down so I went back to the couch. For some reason the couch doesn't seem to bother that, so that might be my spot for the next 6 weeks. Poor JV probably thinks I don't like him any more b/c I can't wear my wedding rings right now and I can't sleep in the bedroom, but thats not true, I still Love him more then anything. He has been so amazing to me through this (well besides calling me big bird the other day). He offers to do everything for me. He's always been a huge help around the house and now so even more to keep me from having to get up. I couldn't ask for a better partner. I can see it already he's going to be such an amazing father.

We had the shower last sat. it was sooooooo great! we are so greatful for everyone who came and all the amazing gifts that the little one recieved. There are honestly only a few things I need before the baby gets here, and that takes a huge weight off of us. Lane gave us a wonderful lunch and a beautiful place to celebrate. Paige came over last weekend and helped me put everything in the nursery. Well honestly Paige and JV did most of it. But it turned out great. I have some pictures at the bottom. The furniture looks great, the walls, the chair rail and the trim all turned out better then I thought. We are so happy with it. And the bedding is even better in person and in the room.
Well thats about all for now, I go back to the dr. on June 10th, then we go every week until the big day. For some reason, June 28th is the date in my head. I have no reason why but its there for something. It could be that there was something I was suppose to do, and with my fading memory I can't remember but who knows!!! thank you all again for all your help and love for this little blessing!!!

32 WEEKS DOWN, 8 TO GO!!!!

I went to the dr. today for my 32 week check up, everything is still right on track and looking good. I'm measuring 34" which is a little big but nothing concerning. The babies heart beat sounded great, I forgot to ask what the number was this time, i'll find out next time! She said that the head is down and i'm in the process of dropping and thats a good thing. I was a little worried that it was to soon for that but she said she would be concerned if in the next week I wasn't so thats good. That also decreases my chances of having a C section. There are def. still situations that may need the c section but thats not one of them! whoo hoo She said I should/probably will start feeling some contractions in the next few weeks and thats normal too. I'm starting to get nervous about the labor part. I have a huge fear of having this baby at home or in the car, I know the chances of that happening are so small but its still a worrie of mine. I'm hoping to do the hospital tour in the next few weeks and hopefully that will make me feel a little bit better knowing where to go!

As for me i'm doing pretty good. I never knew putting on socks or pants would be so difficult but it is, kinda cracks me up though! I'm still sleeping pretty good, when I can breath (esp. since I made JV switch sides with me, now he is sleeping on the hill of the mattress). It is funny though my hands and arms go to "sleep" all the time now, which they said is normal too but kinda annoying. Small things to worry about on my end, so I'm not complaining!

JV and his dad got the nursery painted last weekend/week and it looks great! the top is a very light green and the bottom is a different shade of green, its pretty light too. My dad is going to put up a white chair rail one day in the next week or two, then we just have to touch up the door frames and get the carpets cleaned and we will be ready to set everything up!

I'm so excited about the shower this weekend and looking forward to seeing everyone!!!

Well thats about it for me and the munchkin for now, I have crazy people to deal with at work ( ie, the lady that is complaining b/c she is not happy with the color of the rental car that was provided!!!)

but thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers!!! we love you all!
